So it really wouldn't be an A&Z vacation without a car problem, would it? My sister gets rain on all her vacations, we get car issues. Luckily, this one we do not call ours. More details to follow below.
We were up before the crack of dawn, midnight, to be exact. 12:50 saw us getting on the road. Z started out driving and got us into Virginia, where I took over. While I was in the passenger seat I noticed that the carpet was wet. No big deal, just under the mat. When we switched seats I warned Z not to get wet. Z fell asleep, I drive us through VA, NC, SC and into GA. Z was awake for some of this but did not seem to have the same enjoyment I did seeing the "Welcome to" signs. During one of the awake times Z realized the entire carpet and mat was saturated. Being the expert mechanic he realized there is a problem with the air conditioning condensation drain. Instead of the liquid draining outside, like cars are supposed to, ours is draining into the car. Nice! We tried putting one of the back seat mats on top, but that also became soaked when I made a right turn and all the backed up water quickly joined its friends. After lunch we re-fueled the car and I wrung out the mats. And used a lot of paper towel to soak up the carpet.
At South of the Border Z tried to take a picture, but alas, I had the camera on fireworks setting, so no picture. We'll get it on the way back kids, no worries.
We are now 3.5 hours from the Caribbean Beach Resort and I am back in the passenger seat.
Tonight we will be headed over to Magic Kingdom to see the Main Street Electrical Parade and fireworks! Yay!
P.S. Picture the scene - Z asleep in the passenger seat with his soaked socks up on the dashboard to dry. They were being flipped every so often to ensure an even drying pattern (like a rotisserie chicken!). Z with bare feet in the puddle that was the passenger seat. We now have two dry socks and one dry driver with happy feets.

Almost Time to Go!
All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go
I'm standing here, outside your door
I hate to wake you but it's time to zoom
But the dawn is breaking, it's early morn,
The rental's here, its already in gear,
Hit the gas, let's make a sonic boom
Anyway, sorry John Denver! We are now in the final days of waiting! Half a day Thursday for me, then it's time to hit the road! As I told my boss, my optimism is stronger than my planning skills. Luckily she approved my extra four hours off, so I can get more than two hours of sleep. 1am is still going to come awfully soon. Then it will be on the road, in a hurry to get there so we can see the Main Street Electrical Parade Friday at 8pm.
