Driving back from Delaware on Sunday I made two new friends, always an interesting experience. The first was the driver for Marten Trucking pulling trailer #16305 on the New Jersey Turnpike. He felt the need for speed, and tried to pass the bus that was going 60. Unfortunately for him, his truck and trailer seemed to have a top speed of 60. After 20 (yes, 20) miles of this he finally gave up and moved back behind the bus. I think there was steam coming out of my ears by that time. He received a very feminine hand gesture to show my appreciation. Out the sunroof, so that made it even classier. Z would be so proud.....
My second new friend was a man driving his wife's minivan. It made me wonder what would possess a man to wave and wink at another female, while driving his wife's minivan?! What made this minivan special was the 20" chrome wheels in the back, but only the back. The front wheels were stock, and the wheel covers had come off. There appeared to be a lot of weight in the back of the van, possibly some of his children's toys?, because the back wheels were tilted in at a scary angle. I got away from him pretty quick. Stay tuned for the next drama of traveling with the princess!
