Tuesday and Wednesday we hit EPCOT. We hadn't done very much Tuesday when the sky started looking rather ominous. We started heading back and were headed into Figment when the wind pushed us in the door. After the ride they wouldn't let us out, "for our own safety". Huge thunderstorm, massive rainshowers. The store on the way out was packed, people sitting everywhere. After about 45 minutes, the rain had not let up much and we needed to get back for our dinner reservations. We purchased two Disney ponchos and headed out. And this Z, is why we brought back up shoes!
We made it back to the Caribbean and got cleaned up, then headed over to Gaylord Palms to meet my parents and J&B. Another excellent buffet there! Having never been there we didn't really know where to park and ended up parking at the conference center and parading through the hotel to get to the buffet. Oops. Still raining, but we had our trusty Mickey umbrella!
Dinner was yummy, they had a pasta station, which I had never seen before. We ate way too much, as always.
After dinner it had finally stopped raining. We headed up to the Orlando airport to exchange rental cars. Remember the leak? It didn't stop, and the car was smelling none too pleasant. We were able to exchange our leaky Impala for a Hyundai something-or-other with XM radio. Hair Nation, here we come! On the way back we stopped at a huge mall with an M&M World store. Also we stopped at a couple of jewelers looking for a ring guard for my ring - they didn't have one, but Claire's did, and for around $5! Success! Now my ring is on the correct finger!
Wednesday we went back to EPCOT, and did the few rides we missed the day before. On Spaceship Earth I was supposed to pick on the map of the country where we live, and I accidentally picked some country in China that we had never heard of. Leave it to me. Apparently my sense of direction is worse than we knew!
Back to Boma that night for dinner. Zebra puffs, ummmmm! Dinner was yummy, I was even able to find my way back to the table with no help. I have been known to get lost at buffets trying to find my table.
After dinner we went mini golfing at Winter-Summer Land. Also a first visit! There were two sides, winter and summer - the guy asked which we wanted and right away I said "winter". Sorry Z, jumped in on that one! It was really cute, there were even Christmas songs playing! I'm blaming my need to sing along for me losing by 10 points, or however golf is scored. Because it can't be for my lack of talent, unh uh, no way.
