What Are You Celebrating?

We were 15 miles away when the rain started. Rain + Florida = traffic. At least we were close, so we didn't lose that much time.

We arrived safely at the Caribbean Beach Resort and checked in, which went quickly. Paying ahead of time seems to help a lot! We had reserved a king size bed, which are only in the preferred rooms, meaning a room with a view. When we were checking in I asked if we could be in Barbados, Aruba or Jamaica. Aruba it was! We drove over to our building, Aruba #54, room 13. We found we were 3 rooms from the pool, our view was the lake and food area, the beach was 15 steps away. We could not have asked for a better room. We lugged all our stuff to the room and drove over to the food area, Old Port Royale. Z had real food, I had cheesecake. We bought our Disney mugs, which were good for drinks all week at our resort.

It was still sprinkling a little bit, but we braved it out and headed over to the Magic Kingdom for the parade. We didn't bring snaps, I didn't want to ruin the camera to get blurry pictures. We made it over (after making a wrong turn) and parked, took the tram to the ferry boat, and made it to Main Street USA with 7 minutes to spare. The parade was awesome, worth the wait. Rain was light, easy to ignore in the happiest place on earth.

After the parade I dragged Z over to the Haunted Mansion. On the way we passed a Disney photographer in front of the castle, Z asked if I wanted to have our picture taken, I said "Nah, it won't come out at night". (This will come into play later). After the Haunted Mansion, we started heading back to Main Street for the fireworks. I had forgotten how they block areas off during the fireworks, so we ended up watching from behind Cinderella's Castle. Halfway through the fireworks Z asked me if I would carry something for him, I said "sure"; he gets down on one knee with a ring and proposes! It was amazing, he could not have picked a better spot! The funny part was, nobody around us seemed to see what was going on! Of course I said yes!

After that I floated out of the park on my cloud and we went back to the hotel. At that point I had been awake for 23 hours and was wiped out, exhausted, too tired to do anything. Except stare at my new bling!
